Welcome to the Renal Special Interest Group (SIG)!
The goal of the HCHS/SOL Renal Scientific Interest Group (SIG) is to foster collaboration of kidney disease-related research among HCHS/SOL Investigators and the nephrology scientific community. The SIG has published over 15 original research articles evaluating association between clinical, behavioral, and genetic factors with chronic kidney disease (CKD). The group recently published the first HCHS/SOL longitudinal manuscript examining risk factors for incident CKD.
Bimonthly HCHS/SOL Renal SIG meetings are held via conference call on the third Thursday morning of even months at 11:30 Eastern / 10:30Central. We welcome presentation proposals for our calls from members at different career stages. The SIG has been a great forum for early and mid-career investigators to discuss their manuscript proposals and ideas and to receive feedback from the SIG membership.
