¡Bienvenidos!
We are excited about your interest in working with this group. The SIG meets on the third Tuesday of the month at 1 PM Eastern / 10 AM Pacific, every other month, to discuss and generate ideas for studies pertaining to diabetes mellitus, pre-diabetes, metabolic syndrome, and other cardiometabolic risk factors and disorders. The SIG members come from different disciplines, including clinical endocrinology, psychology, epidemiology, biostatistics, public health, nutrition, and others. We welcome presentation proposals for our meetings from members across the training and career spectrum. The SIG has been an excellent forum for early and mid-career investigators to receive feedback on their ideas from the SIG leadership and membership and provides an opportunity to facilitate cooperation, synergy, and collaboration among new and established HCHS/SOL and ancillary study investigators. The SIG meetings will provide a forum for discussion of all issues and topics related to diabetes and metabolic health in the HCHS/SOL, such as:
- Conceptualization and study hypotheses
- Manuscript ideas
- Analytic questions
- Presentations of findings
- Ancillary study proposal ideas
Members may participate in some or all meetings as their schedules allow.
We look forward to your joining us in our monthly calls
